It's Officially Summer Break . . .

Well today marks the first day of summer break for us. Looks like we soon be hitting the spray parks, the pool, the library, summer movies and trying to stay cool in the heat (which is almost here). Since summer is here, I thought I'd better catch up on the festivities of the last few days of school. Here are a few pictures from the last few days (award ceremonies, parties, etc.)

Andrew
who is our new First Grader

Andrew right after his "end of the year" performance. All of the Kindergarten classes sang a bunch of really cute songs.
Here is Andrew with his teacher Miss Greene. She was a great teacher and Andrew learned so many things this year. His favorite subject is math and he is sooo good at it. His teacher gave him a bunch of leftover math sheets on the last day of school and as soon as he got home he spent an hour or so correctly filling in the answers to all of the math problems. He was loving it! His teacher did a cute awards ceremony and came up with a unique award for each student. Andrew got the Turtle Award. He was very shy at the beginning of the year and by the end of the year he came out of his shell. (Although he still looks a little shy in this picture).

Andrew and a couple of his school friends eating popsicles on the playground. His teacher's mom made each child in her class an apron to take home as their end of the year gift. What a cute idea!

Aubree

who is our new 3rd grader

(so hard to believe I have a 3rd grader!)

Aubree with two of her good friends Mia and Breah.

Aubree and her teacher Mrs. Smith. She was a super teacher for Aubree. I enjoyed volunteering and helping in her classroom. Aubree really loves music and art and she is a super star when it comes to spelling! Aubree also loves recess and hanging out with her friends. Below is a picture of Aubree with her principal, Mr. Knorr.
